June Journal
Designed for Summer Living
June was all about slowing down and embracing the season ahead. As summer arrives, many homeowners begin looking at their spaces differently—seeking homes that feel lighter, more welcoming, and supportive of the way they want to live every day.
This month, we focused on the details that help create that feeling: lighter layers, thoughtful pops of color, and meaningful collections.
Color Crush: Cajun Shrimp Red
We kicked off the month with a color that felt perfectly suited for summer: Cajun Shrimp Red.
Inspired by the iconic OPI nail color, this coral-toned red combines warm orange and pink undertones to create a shade that feels energetic, welcoming, and full of personality. While often associated with summer, this color's warmth allows it to transition beautifully throughout the year.
Whether incorporated through accent lighting, pillows, artwork, or decorative accessories, a thoughtful touch of color can completely change the feeling of a room.
Collected, Not Cluttered
One of our favorite conversations this month centered around the idea of creating homes that feel collected rather than cluttered.
Many homeowners believe a refresh means getting rid of the pieces they've accumulated over the years. In reality, some of the most beautiful homes are filled with meaningful objects, family heirlooms, travel finds, and collected treasures that tell a story.
The difference is intentionality.
In our latest journal article, Collected, Not Cluttered, we explored how thoughtful design can help highlight the pieces that matter most while creating spaces that feel balanced, welcoming, and uniquely personal. Check it out to learn more!
The Teal Edit: Midpoint Update
This month also marked an exciting milestone in The Teal Edit renovation.
As cabinetry, countertops, flooring, and custom details continue to come together, the project is entering a stage where countless small decisions begin to shape the final result. While many people think the major selections are the hardest part, it's often the smaller decisions that require the most coordination and attention.
This is where having a designer can make all the difference—helping ensure every detail works together cohesively while keeping the overall vision intact.
Looking Ahead
As we move into July, we're excited to continue sharing inspiration centered around thoughtful summer living, meaningful design, and homes that support the way people truly live.
And for The Teal Edit, some major milestones are just around the corner.
